BIOBURDEN TESTING & DETECTION OF SPECIFIED MICROORGANISMS
Bioburden testing quantifies the total viable microorganisms on a non-sterile product, device, or raw material. It is a critical quality control step to monitor manufacturing processes, validate sterilization effectiveness, and ensure product safety. Detection of specified microorganisms identifies the presence or absence of objectionable pathogens that may pose health risks.
STERILITY TESTING
Sterility testing is a microbiological method used to determine whether a product intended to be sterile is free from viable microorganisms. It is widely applied in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device industries to ensure product safety and compliance.
PRESERVATIVE EFFICACY TESTING (PET)
Preservative efficacy testing (PET) determines whether a product’s preservative system effectively prevents microbial growth throughout its shelf life. It is required for multi-dose pharmaceuticals, ophthalmic solutions, oral liquids, topical preparations, and cosmetic products.
