About Us
Founded in 2020 during the global pandemic, TECOLAB Sdn Bhd was established with one clear mission — to provide a comprehensive one-stop solution for manufacturers across the medical device, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and disinfectant industries.
From early-stage R&D support to laboratory testing, regulatory consultation, and product registration strategies, TECOLAB helps manufacturers navigate complex international requirements with confidence. Our goal is not only to ensure regulatory compliance, but also to help clients optimize their testing strategies, maximize product marketability, and manage development costs more efficiently. By partnering with TECOLAB, manufacturers can focus on what matters most; growing their business and bringing innovative products to boost the infection control field.
Our Journey of Growth
Building a trusted laboratory and consultancy platform takes time, dedication, and continuous improvement. Since our establishment, TECOLAB has steadily expanded its expertise, capabilities, and international recognition.
2020: The Beginning
TECOLAB initially focused on antimicrobial and disinfectant efficacy testing, particularly according to European EN standards. Supported by a highly experienced scientific and academic team, we successfully obtained ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation within only six months of operation for several EN disinfectant efficacy test methods.
Since then, we have continuously expanded our accredited scope. By the end of 2025, TECOLAB had achieved accreditation for more than 70 test methods, covering a wide range of international standards, including EN, ISO, AOAC, ASTM, and USP methods related to antimicrobial testing and in-vitro toxicology testing.
2023: International Recognition
In 2023, TECOLAB achieved another major milestone by becoming the first laboratory outside of Europe to be recognized as a VAH-authorized laboratory by the Association for Applied Hygiene (VAH) in Germany.
In addition, our founder, Dr. Marven Lee, was officially listed as a VAH expert, a recognition of both his technical expertise and TECOLAB’s growing international reputation in disinfectant efficacy testing.

2025: Expanding Beyond Efficacy Testing
At the beginning of 2025, TECOLAB expanded into in-vitro toxicology testing, reflecting our commitment to supporting safer and more ethical scientific practices through the reduction of animal testing.

From R&D and formulation support to antimicrobial efficacy testing, in vitro toxicology testing, stability studies, chemistry testing, and regulatory consultation and technical documentation, our multidisciplinary team works closely with customers to accelerate product development and market readiness.
