This test method is only suitable for hygienic handwash. If your test product is a handrub, please refer to EN 1500. If your test product is a surgical handrub or handwash, please refer to EN 12791.

The test microorganism for EN 1499 is Escherichia coli K12 .

The number of volunteers required is 12 to 15.

The contact time is according to the manufacturer’s recommendation, but not shorter than 30 seconds and not longer than 60 seconds.

Please also provide us with the application procedure, which shall include the volume of product and the frequency of application.

For safety purposes, the uploaded test report will self-destruct after 7 days.

In order to pass the test, the product shall be superior to the reference product (diluted soft soap).
