Making up a new disinfectant/biocide formulation? Have multiple stable prototypes and want to know which works best efficacy-wise? Deciding on the range of claims your product can achieve without breaking your budget? Let us do what we do best and be your microbiology laboratory! No more expensive trial and errors through your R&D process with our R&D program.
“Frustrated by failed tests and costly retesting? You are not alone.”
Developing a new disinfectant formulation with little existing efficacy data on your active substance is a challenge. Testing disinfectants and biocides according to EN standards are very important to ensure your products comply to international regulations but the costs and uncertainties can quickly spiral out of control. Over the years, we realized this issue that manufacturers face and we’ve created a more efficient way forward.
That’s why we created this R&D Program.
Our R&D Program is designed to help manufacturers pre-screen their formulations using simplified versions of EN standard methods, through both suspension (Phase 2, Step 1) and carrier tests (Phase 2, Step 2). We offer screening for bacteria, yeast, fungi, spores, viruses, and even hand tests. This gives you fast, early-stage efficacy data with up to 50% savings on the cost, so you can make informed decisions before moving on to the full accredited testing.

With our screening program, you can choose multiple concentrations and contact times to screen for the best passing conditions for your product and determine if they are suitable for your intended competitive claims before you proceed to the complete accredited test for your final claims.
This helps eliminating the guesswork and reduce the risk of costly retesting due to failures. By screening your formulation’s efficacy early, you can move forward with more confidence, knowing that your chosen claim conditions are based on data, not assumptions.
This screening program will be perfect for you if:
If you’re only validating a final product with minimal test variations, we may recommend proceeding straight to accredited testing to save time and resources. Either way, we’ll guide you to the most efficient and cost-effective path based on your project goals.
Still not sure if it is right for you? Not a problem. Our team is here to help you assess whether a screening or full EN testing is the right route for you. Reach out to our sales & support team here with your needs and we will help you with map out the best personalized testing strategy for you.
